About the Attendance Information System (Q&A)

Starting in April 2023, attendance information will be collected using Sangyo University Mobile (smartphone app) and beacons installed in classrooms.
We would like to use the attendance data collected from the attendance information system to provide academic guidance and support tailored to each student's individual circumstances.

How do I submit my attendance information?
While in the classroom where the course is being taught, tap the classroom number you are in on the "Attendance System" on your Sandai Mobile device and submit your attendance information.
The "Attendance System" is not displayed on Sandai Mobile.
Please update Sandai Mobile.
I submitted my attendance information but it is still marked as absent.
The following cases are possible:
① Information could not be sent accurately due to a communication error, etc.
②I tapped the wrong classroom number.
*Please be sure to check the message that appears on the screen after sending.
Please tell your teacher as much detail as possible about the situation when you tapped.
?How to contact a teacher using Web Class
I contacted the teacher in charge but there was no reply and the class remains marked as absent.
Please inform the teacher directly before or after the next class.
I tried to submit my attendance information but the attendance system doesn't show the grounds or laboratories.

This applies only to the 147 classrooms where Wi-Fi AP beacons are installed.
(This does not apply to courses held in seminar rooms, experiment/practical rooms, gymnasiums, or outdoors (some experiments and practical training are excluded))
None of the classrooms are showing up in the attendance system.
This may be because "Location" or "Bluetooth" is turned off. Please turn on "Location" and "Bluetooth" and restart the device. Also, the "Location" setting may be set to "Approximate location", so please check the settings.
If it still does not appear, please consider restarting your device or turning off Wi-Fi and switching to mobile data.
When I submitted my attendance information, it said "present," but later it changed to "late."
In the attendance information system, students will be recorded as present up until 20 minutes after the start of class, but the criteria for determining whether or not a student is late will vary depending on the instructor.
*If you are even slightly late after class has started, you may be considered late, so please listen carefully to the teacher's explanation.
* Automatic attendance information determination time (standard time for this system)
Attendance registration starts at the start of each class
Lateness time: 21 minutes after the start of each class
Attendance registration closes: 31 minutes after each class starts
In classes where beacons are not installed, the teacher verbally confirmed attendance during the lesson (or collected attendance cards), but this is not reflected in the attendance information system.
Depending on the class, teachers may continue to check attendance manually as usual and not use the attendance information system.

I attended the class online.
In 2023, attending classes online will not count as attendance.
I don't know how to connect to LEONET Wi-Fi.
1. Display the Wi-Fi list on your device.
2. Select "LEONETWiFi-1x".
3. Enter your username (ID) and password (same as Portal-OSU).
